PRS 28 - Bayswater Ash Dam Groundwater Monitoring Network

Licence Condition
By 30 December 2022, the licensee must prepare, and submit to the EPA, the Bayswater Ash Dam (BWAD) Groundwater Monitoring Program. The BWAD Groundwater Monitoring Program must be prepared by a suitably qualified and experienced hydrogeologist and detail a proposed program for monitoring and assessing potential groundwater pollution from the BWAD. The BWAD Groundwater Monitoring Program must: (a) Identify a network of suitable points, both up and down gradient of the BWAD, for the purpose of monitoring groundwater and assessing seepage and potential pollution from the BWAD; and (b) Identify the suite of physical and chemical parameters proposed to be monitored, along with the respective proposed monitoring frequency. The BWAD Groundwater Monitoring Program must be provided to the EPA by email to info@epa.nsw.gov.au. Note: Upon receiving and reviewing the BWAD Groundwater Monitoring Program, it is the EPA's intention to formalise routine groundwater monitoring under the licence.
